THE MYTH OF HOMECOMING in THE FILM PURANG BY AZHAR KINOI LUBIS A STUDY OF ROLAND BARTHES' SEMOTICS

ABSTRACT
 The film that will be studied in this research is "Pulang" by Azhar Kinoi Lubis. film, produced KlikFilm Productions, RK23 and Canary studios, premiered on April 2, 2022. Carrying the genre of Indonesian family drama. analysis study was conducted to describe symbols Pulang identify form meaning contained it, starting from denotation, connotation myth. method used Content Analysis using Rolan Barthes' semiotic theory. This uses descriptive qualitative solve 3 main problems, including: (1) identifying (2) connotation, (3) outlining myth cinema entitled director concludes denotative about amount love parents have for their children, connotative each conflict arises as a result respective egos, going home hometown not only celebrate meeting, but also meeting.
